Cleaning Your Joule: Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Remove the lid from the sous vide circulator. Step 2: Unplug the unit from power source. Step 3: Turn off the circulator and remove the heating element. Step 4: Disconnect the tubing from the circulator. Step 5: Place the circulator into a sink filled with warm water and detergent. Step 6: Soak the circulator for 30 minutes. Step 7: Rinse the circulator under running cold water until no traces of soap remain. Step 8: Dry the circulator thoroughly with paper towels. Step 9: Replace the lid and plug the circulator back into the power source. Step 10: Plug the circulator into the wall outlet. Step 11: Connect the tubing to the circulator.

Step 1 – Create the Cleaning Liquid

To clean the circulator, we recommend using a mixture of vinegar and water. This solution works well because it cleans the surface while leaving the metal parts of the circulator intact. It is important to note that if you use any other cleaning liquid, it could damage the circulator.

Step 2 – Adding and Setting Up the Joule

To set up the circulator, follow these steps: 1 Make sure the circulator is turned off. 2 Remove the top plate from the circulator.

Step 3 – Allow for the Temperature to be Reached

To reach the desired temperature, place the circulator into the water bath. It takes approximately 10 minutes for the water to get heated to the desired temperature. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, turn the circulator on.

Step 4 -Cleaning the Inside of Your Joule

After the circulator is turned on, wait until the water gets hot enough to clean the inside of your joule. This step is important because if you skip this step, you could end up damaging your circulator. To clean the inside of your circulator, remove the top part of the circulator the part where the heating element is located. Then, take a wet cloth and wipe down the inside of the circulator. Make sure to clean the inside of the circulators from top to bottom. After cleaning the inside of your circulators, put the top back on and plug it in. Step 5 -Turning Off the Circulator
